+ Welcome to First Presbyterian!

As in years past, a free community Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings will be held at the church on Thanksgiving Day for those who cannot be with their families or who are in need on Thanksgiving Day. The meal is prepared at the church and is served at 12:00 pm. The day starts at 9:00 am for the volunteers who cook the food, since they first pack up and deliver turkey dinners and lots of extras to many people in meals on wheels programs or to anyone who finds it difficult to come out. To reserve a takeout meal, please call Steve Davis at 296-8079 and leave a message. If you would like to contribute a pie, cake, or goodie for dessert as part of your holiday baking, please drop it off at the church kitchen with a note ahead of time or stop by Thanksgiving morning.

If you love to watch animals (some nibbling of costumes is to be expected), and you enjoy singing along to beloved Christmas carols, come join our annual Live Nativity Saturday, December 6 at 6pm. (There will be no bad weather date. We just trust and pray.) If you have the desire to be a part of the action (actually, they are all still scenes) join us! Whether angels, kings, Joseph, shepherds, Elizabeth, Mary, or others, we need you  to sign-up to be one of our familiar crèche figures. You can email the church to let us know of your interest in being a part of the Live Nativity, and we will assign you a role if you do not request one or if the role you’ve requested has already been filled. Come get involved…’cause Christmas is on its way! (Contact the church office to find out more about the Live Nativity.)
