Attention: Women of the Church, A special date to remember—Valentine’s Day, February 14th—it's our covered-dish luncheon to celebrate the birthdays of all the Women in the Church (and President’s birthdays, and yours and mine…). And it’s Valentine’s Day! Nancy Hanna (Bob Fish’s daughter) will join us and tell us about her and her late husband’s missionary service in Africa. Lets have a good turn out for this special meeting. Bring a covered-dish to share. Birthday cake will be provided for our dessert! Do Come! Joyce Bronson, Moderator *** Cooking for Jesus Interested in learning some secrets of cooking? Want some fun fellowship during the winter? Want some food for thought to grow in Christ?
Come out Saturday afternoons from 1 to 3 PM starting Feb 23rd to learn from Deacon Marilyn Yetter in the church kitchen. A freewill offering of $5.00/class will cover costs; any extra will go to Missions. Teens and adults welcome. There is a limit of 10 people per class so hurry to sign up.
First class is Feb 23rd, additional classes on Mar 1,22,29; April 5,19; and May 10. Please call the church office [296-4711] by Feb 17 to reserve a place. All classes will include food from God's Word too! See you in the kitchen. *** Two Bible Studies are currently meeting weekly in the homes of church members:
· Beginning Monday evening January 7th at 7pm, Greg and Marilyn Yetter (601 Sixth St., Milford) will begin a study on 2 Peter. Couples and singles are most welcome. (You can contact Greg and Marilyn at 296-7256.)
· Wednesdays at 7:00pm, Mike and Marilyn Neel and Beacon of Hope Ministries Prayer and Bible Study. Now held at the Manse, next door to the Church. *** APPORTIONMENT FOR AD2008 (that amount of our offerings that support the Presbytery, Synod, and General Assembly’s ministry of our denomination) is $21.00 per person. Many people like to give this amount in addition to their tithe. The Apportionment can be mailed to the church or put into the offering plates, marked “Apportionment”.
*** The Adult Sunday School class has begun the Focus on the Family DVD study “That The World May Know” at 9:30am next door at the manse. *** Attention Ladies!
God has made you as a woman with your uniqueness to fulfill a special place of service in His kingdom.
“Women Gifted For Ministry” is a study designed specifically to help women discover and put into practice their own Spiritual gifts. Our women’s class invites you join us for our study of this book. We are meeting next door at the manse at 9:30am on Sunday mornings. Workbooks will be provided. *** Wednesday nights from 7-8:30pm Pastor Ben will be leading an interactive Bible Study on the book of the Revelation. The Middle School Youth Group will be meeting at the same time. Come, learn, and grow!
